Note: Shortcuts failed (except uninstall) as it didn't fill in the Start-In part of the short cut, so please run from the directory you installed to!!

Hi guys,
If you have some time spare, please, please, please play my game and fill out the survey for me so I can pass my degree
If you don't want to, then sorry to bother you.

If you do, have fun and if it crashes, try again. I have only been able to test on Windows 7 64-bit.

This is about 1 months solid day in, day out work (Since March 24th) and 1-2 more of procrastination, on-off, style working, previous to that.
All art work is my own (as you can probably tell), except for the water, grass and wood platforms.

As with all software, if it blows something up it's not my fault and i'm not liable whatsoever. The most it will do is crash if something goes wrong tbh.

The zip is like 19mb.

The redistributables for DirectX, .NET Framework and XNA Framework need to be installed:

XNA Redistributable:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... eb3e799ef2

.NET:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... b15c5e04f5
DirectX:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... b8109cb4f5

Sorry bout that I can't help it. It is very likely you will only need the xna redistributable though.

Instructions, etc. are in the wtf.txt. Oh yeah.

If you cannot submit your form or it is suddenly not available (limited to 10 results per form), save your answers locally or screenshot them or something.
You can also just let me know so I can generate another form.

For your name, you can just use your forum name, but would prefer a real name if you don't mind.

Email addresses are so I can ask about your answers if I need to, although I am likely not going to need to do so.

Note that this isn't a beta test, or a technical test, so if you try and break it, it likely will.

Ignore the form url that is shown in the game, I have created the form link at the top of this post specifically for meteornet.

If it clearly isn't working, no matter what you do, let me know and I'll attempt to update the download.

Please post a reply to let me know you are testing it.

Thanks,

Ash

If the game is crashing when you launch the exe, please make sure you have installed the XNA Redistributable. This is the base of what the game runs on - it is like an addon to the .NET framework.

Link for the redistributable is in the OP.

Thanks to Stoneheart for playing and reviewing the game. Very critical, which made me die inside lol, but it helps to have various views.

I must admit some of the things you have written are fairly obvious, but you don't really notice when you are in your developer bubble.

This was only a proof of concept which I have to justify and explain, so your review is helpful in that regard.

If you have any examples of similar environmental games that you know of, please point me to them - I need to assess some for part of my write-up.

Thanks again.

I now have 8 responses, 3 left on this survey, so thanks to the guys that got involved.

If 3 more of you want to waste about 20 mins helping me out by playing the game and doing a short survey it would be greatly appreciated :D

I'd just like to take a moment to thank everyone who helped out. I have almost finished my write-up - just writing conclusions about what you all thought - and will be printing on monday to hand it in on tuesday.

Hopefully I'll get an amazing result and be forever in your debt (maybe not forever but like a day or something ;)).

Thanks again!
